　Before, the name of the factory was:SHANGHAI NONFEROUS METALS WELDING MATERIALS FACTORY.

　In Sept.30,1991, the factory becomes Sino-British joint venture with CIMIC STOCK CO.,LTD.

　Its annual output amounts to 4000 metric tons and sales volume is more than one hundred and sixty million RMB. There are 300 employees in this Corp. including 56 technicians, and seven senior engineers (two of them are professor level engineers).

　The Corp has plenty of production lines including: melting furnaces, continuous casting, extrusion, re-drawing, cutting, coating machines and thermo-spraying powder making machines. Total quantity more than 100. It also has 20 sets perfect metallurgical measurements and chemical analysis instruments. Many production lines and test instruments were imported from abroad. And at the same time, the Corp developed another four production lines.

　In 1993, the Corp passed quality control qualification by the National Welding Testing Control Center and got the production permission in this line.

　The Corp is one of the technical research bases and production centers for nonferrous metals and special welding materials. It achieved a great deal of technical awards by the government. Also in 1993, it was granted as “Advanced Technical Enterprises” by the Municipal Foreign Investment Commission and Foreign Economic Commission. In 1999, the Corp got the ISO9002 Quality Control Certification by China Classification Society Quality Assurance Ltd. Since 1996, the Corp has been awarded as “double Fines Enterprises “ by the Municipal Foreign Investment Enterprises Association. Up to now, we already got this awards for eight years.

　The main products of this Corp consists 5 serious, more than 130 kinds including nonferrous and special welding materials, such as hard-facing welding, cast iron welding, nonferrous welding, brazing, soldering and thermo spraying. All these kinds of welding materials served a great range of lines: metallurgical, mechanical, space, meters and instruments, power plants ,chemical industry and light industry. Its products covered different works of lives all over our country.Not only in the domestic market, the Corp also developed world markets. The export items and quantities increased rapidly all these years. In 2003,the export volume already over USD7000000.00 (seven million) RMB62280000.00 (sixty three million). Quantity more than 2447 metric tons.. covered 47% of its total production capacity. Its bronze and brass welding wire and rod enjoy a high reputation in many parts of the world. Now the Corp becomes one of the main OEM manufacturers for more than 4 well-know welding and brazing supplies in the world .
